Consumption, capital retention, and expenditures – set upon public, private and governmental levels; though this is a small representation of the larger picture that makes up the economy of the United States, all nevertheless impact the nation’s well-being.  As the world’s largest national economy, the U.S. has had a number of bouts of economic and financial turbulence’s (in some instances, complete drop in cabin pressure as it were).  High unemployment, threat of depleting purchasing power, and low-to-stagnant stages of production has experienced its fair share of bruises.  But the free enterprise economic system that encompasses the U.S. continues to persevere with endurance and tenacity.
